Speaking from experience, any "negative criticism" you feel is probably being out-weighed by your response. If it were me leaving one of those notes, and I hadn't intended to be overly critical, I'd be a bit put-off. You're welcome to manage this page as you see fit, but can I offer a bit of advice from my experiences? Try to not read too much into things. Respond to the criticism, and point out to the others in your response that you feel their comments might have been a bit harsh. Yes, sometimes people do criticize too much, but anyone can have a bad day. I noticed you added a section to this article, grouping ZIP codes numerically by first two digits. Are you planning to add anything to those currently non-existing articles? If so, can you tell me what you are using as a source? Also, how will those lists be updated (hopefully in sync with other articles)? I am not just curious—I've been working on the articles on ZIP codes a while ago, and would like to help if I can. On an unrelated note—you can make your username appear as red in signatures, even if your user page is not empty. It just takes a little formatting. This does not look user-friendly, as these codes are not really in common use. Also, are you going to list special ZIP codes as well (those assigned primarily to businesses and other similar entities)? What about updates (USPS makes changes to ZIP codes distribution fairly often)? Overall, however, the system looks pretty good—way better than the listings we currently have. Plus, it's about time someone put the ZIPs information in order. Here is another resource for you, which I found to be of immense value: Melissa Data (check their main page as well). They have bunches of additional information not available through USPS, although they limit the number of queries you can submit in a day (which is easily overcome by utilizing proxies). For instance, there are I-190s in New York and Illinois. Currently it is tagged as PD, which is clearly not what you intended when you uploaded it as GFDL. Further, in my mind, whether or not it is copyright Gov of BC or not is not clear. Please, all I ask is that you respond to this. This is not an attack or critism. I am merely trying to clear it up. That's not really the main point anyway - 101 is a 2-digit route that happens to have 10 as its first digit. However, you go about this in a particularly inflammatory way, with the "general violation" messages and the hostile "posting rules" on your Talk: page. You say above, "If you are going to post a message on this page, it must be a positive comment." — this is not an acceptable demand. Community norms are that you can delete critical comments on your talk page, but you cannot forbid them. The best way to deal with negative criticism is 1) see if there's any substance to the criticism, and if so, modify your behaviour accordingly; else 2) if there's no substance to the criticism, simply ignore it, or explain why you disagree.
