She gained popularity through modeling in import car shows. Kaila has been featured in several magazines including Import Tuner, Playboy, and FHM. She began college at UCSD and later transferred to UCLA to be in Los Angeles in order to pursue modeling and singing. Kaila has also been featured in Jack Pearl's Asian Pick up couch as Nina, where she performs sexual acts. She released her first album in 2003.
